Mud Mud Mud.

Mud Mud Mud!

This years Great Dorset Steam Fair has been effected by the appalling summer weather Britain has had in 2012 (second worst since records began and worst summer for 100 years!). I have been visiting the steam fair most years since I was knee high to a grasshopper, the event has grown immeasurably since it's inception in the 1960's to one of the biggest events of it's type in the world. The heavy rain has played havoc for the organisers and our evening visit on the opening day of the show meant us drudging through mud, rallying across the car park field and sadly seeing many of the exhibitors covering up to protect from the foul weather. Luckily the British spirit prevailed and there was still plenty to do and still many photographic opportunities. Heading back to the show on Friday after a day of sun hoping that some of the mud has dried out and we'll have a cracking day out and capture some of the unique atmosphere with my camera.
